Preparations are well underway for the 2022 Benalla Spring Show which will be held Friday 14th and Saturday 15th October.

Working Sheepdog Trials are back!
Monday 7th March – Wednesday 9th March 2022
Held on the main arena the sheep and dogs will provide one of the highlights of the annual calendar of events here at the Showgrounds.
Entry to the ground is free.
**If you are thinking of using our self-contained caravan area then please be advised that over this 3-4 day period there will be a lot of campers on-site with many dogs **

CANCELLATION OF THE 2021 BENALLA SPRING SHOW
Due to current regulations it is quite apparent that we will not be able to hold our planned Championship Dog Show and Horse Show on October 15-16 this year.
This is very disappointing, to say the least, for us and for the competitors.
We are looking for alternative dates to reschedule both competitions.
In the meantime we plan to have a Virtual Spring Show that will give everyone the opportunity to be involved! More details in the next few days…

The 138th Benalla Spring Show in 2021
The Benalla Spring Show is one of Benalla’s longest running community events, attracting a considerable number of patrons and competitors from all over Victoria and the NSW border region for the annual 2-day program.
Given the uncertainties and challenges presently faced by the local and wider community, the Benalla A & P Society Committee has made the difficult decision to scale back the events at the 2021 Spring Show.
The 2021 Spring Show will go ahead with reduced sections and no public attendance.
On Friday 15th October the 68th Annual Dog Show will be held as an Exhibitor-only event.
The Horse section will take place on Saturday 16th October, also Exhibitor-only. The program will include Show Jumping and most of the regular Hack, Pony Club and Breed classes. Program will be online very soon.
We had a wonderful Pavilion competition schedule organized with a great range of fresh, new classes so we are very disappointed at being unable to run our usual event. BUT! We are hoping to have some online competitions in October – stay tuned!

Benalla Spring Show in 2021!
Save the date! The Benalla Spring Show will return in 2021 on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th October!
After the disappointment of “the year that shall not be named” the Benalla A&P Society Committee is hard at work organising the 138th Benalla Spring Show.
Since 1878 the Benalla Spring Show has been a showcase of the districts’ horses, cattle, sheep, show dogs and crafts galore. Can you bake the Best Cake in Show or grow the Best Orchid in Show? We look forward to seeing the results of the skills you’ve acquired/polished during the pandemic!
Schedules will be out later in the year. If you’re quick you can put through suggestions for competitions and we’ll try our best to include them.

2020 Benalla Spring Show cancelled
The Benalla A&P Society committee is sad to announce that there will be no Benalla Spring Show in 2020.
To all our wonderful volunteer stewards, the local businesses and individuals who sponsor the Show, exhibitors, stallholders and attendees — THANK YOU for your support over the years and please stay safe.
We will look ahead to holding the best 2021 Show we can.
For the exhibitors who are due to represent Benalla in the homecraft State competitions – you will be contacted and you will be invited to compete at Group Finals next year.
